Are you using Google+ yet for your social media marketing? If not, I want to share a few things I worked out about how make the best out of Google+ for business, based on work we did over the last few months.
1. Use Google+ to it's fullest extend. Remember Google is a search company, and that they use Google+ data in the Google search algorithms. The more photo's, links, text, location data,... you add, the more data Google has to crawl and index. Ultimately this will help others find you, which is the goal of inbound marketing.
Open rates are down, opt out rates are up, and response rates are down as well. It is clear that the days of batch and blast email are over, but that doesn’t mean the use of email marketing is over, on the contrary. I once heard someone say “Email is the original social media platform” and I agree up to a certain extent. If leveraged and structured correctly, it can indeed be used to create an extremely targeted, interactive experience.
TV advertising in the 21st century has us moving more and more toward TV ads where real people play a role, very often without knowing they are doing so. The reason is simple: the average consumer is tired of the standard, boring laundry detergent ad, and with the advent of the DVR, which enables people to record, and fast forward through advertising segments, marketers have had to up the ante when it comes to grabbing attention and motivating people to keep watching.
